Join us on Saturday, August 29, 2026, for the Humane Society of Parkersburg’s 16th Annual Mountaineer Tail‑waggin’ Tailgate Party at the beautiful Buzzie Dils Riverfront Park in Vienna. This signature event is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and every dollar raised directly supports the animals in our care.

 

Why This Event Matters:

Although HSOP receives partial funding through our animal control contract with the Wood County Commission, the majority of the resources needed to care for homeless, injured, and abused animals come from donations, grants, and fundraising efforts. Your participation helps us provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances to the 200+ animals we care for each month.

 

Ticket and event details:

Tickets are $125 each, which admits two people to the event and includes dinner and drinks. Each ticket is entered into a reverse drawing with $7,100 in payouts with the top prize being $3,000! You do not have to be present to win! In addition to the drawing, we will have 50/50, auctions, card raffles and more. We only sell 300 tickets to this event and always sell out. We will announce ticket sales on our Facebook page, so be sure to follow us and keep an eye out for updates.
