Apply to be a Volunteer - Online
  1. All volunteers must attend a volunteer orientation to obtain a general knowledge of our shelter.
  2. Volunteers under 16 years of age, must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times while in the shelter. Parents or legal guardians must also complete a volunteer application and attend orientation.
  3. Each month a general orientation is held on a designated Sunday (1:00 to 2:30) at the shelter.
  4. Volunteers planning on handling dogs or cats must also attend a second orientation session. These sessions are scheduled on the Monday following the Sunday orientation from 6:30 to 7:30 at the Shelter. Come dressed to handle animals.
  5. We will notify you by email of the date and time of your scheduled orientation session once you submit your application.   PLEASE check your email and respond back to us so that we know whether or not to expect you at your orientation session. Thank you!
