We're excited that you are considering adopting a pet from the Humane Society of Parkersburg!  We're excited for you to begin your search for a new best friend!  And we're excited for our animals who have a chance to find the loving, forever home they so deserve!    

We have amazing animals waiting to meet you at our Shelter!  As an open admission shelter, we receive thousands of animals each year, so we have lots of dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and breeds.  One of which is bound to be just right for you and your lifestyle!  And if you have a particular breed in mind, you might be surprised to find that almost 25% of the dogs in our Shelter are purebred.  And occasionally we have other furry friends....like rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets and maybe a bird to two.
