Special Needs Pets

Below is a Special Needs animal that needs a little extra help or a special home.    Please consider a donation to our Special Needs Fund to help pay for veterinary and/or medical treatment for this or other animals.  Or consider adopting one of these special animals.

Special Guest:  Athena

2.21.13  Athena after her arrival at our shelter, care and surgery as a result of kindness and donations to her special needs fund, and now in her forever home where she is incredibly loved and pampered.  They adore her!  Thanks to all that made this wonderful transition from her sad and painful "before" to this beautiful "after".

Special Guest:  Carter

2.21.13  Carter has been chosen by Castaway Critters, a wonderful rescue group and will be heading to a foster home with that organization soon.  He will be offered care there until he finds his forever home!  Thanks to Joan his foster with us who gave him so much love and attention.

Special Guest: Snowflake:

2.21.13 Update:  We're very sad to report that while Snowflake found a home with one of our best fosters, her forever was not nearly long enough.  Even before Snowflake arrived at her forever home, we learned that her cancer was returning and very quickly.  The prognosis was sadly not good and her vet gave her little time.  She only lived a few weeks with her new mom but left this world knowing that she was greatly loved by all that knew her during her short time with us.  Special thanks to the very special foster mom's in her life, Debbie Hines and Kara Seaman.
