Sponsored Pets

What is a Sponsored Pet?

Some supporters of the Shelter sponsor animals to help them get adopted by offering to pay a portion of their adoption fee.  In some cases, they may actually pay the entire adoption fee.  It is the discretion of the sponsor to select the animal and how much they would like to pay towards the adoption fee.  Regardless of the adoption fee (even those that are free) a potential adopter will be required to follow the normal adoption process to adopt a sponsored pet. 

How do I know who is sponsored?

On each animal's PetFinder webpage, you will see a discounted adoption fee next to the pet's name.  If you are visiting our shelter, you can discover who is sponsored by looking at each animal's cage card on the front of their kennel or cage.  A blue Sponsorship tag will be attached to the bottom of the cage card indicated that they are sponsored and the sponsorship amount.

What do I need to do if I am interested in sponsoring a pet?

If you are interested in sponsoring a Shelter animal, please call the Shelter and speak with our Director, Maryann Hollis about selecting an animal to sponsor and how much you would like to pay towards the sponsorship.
